Requirements for Admission to Upper Division (Grades 9 - 12)

  • Register for and take the High School Placement Test (Grade 9 applicants only).
    • Notre Dame offers the test Nov. 18 and Dec. 2, 2017, as well as Feb. 3 and March 3, 2018. Students who take the test after the December 2 date will NOT be eligible to receive merit-based scholarships.
    • Regardless of testing site, students must request that their score be sent directly to Notre Dame

  • TRANSFER APPLICANTS: Prior to completing an online application, please call the Notre Dame Office of Admissions at 248-373-1061.
  • INTERNATIONAL / FOREIGN EXCHANGE APPLICANTS: Please click the following link to read more about NDP’s guidelines before starting an application: http://www.ndpma.org/intapply/
  • Complete the online application* and submit fee, then log back in to complete the next three steps through the Parent Portal:
    • Complete the supplemental application (student)
    • Request copies of records from current school
    • Request student evaluations from current teachers
  • Once the completed applications, fee, records and evaluations have been submitted, Notre Dame will schedule an interview with the applicant and a parent/guardian.

* If you are an applicant to Grade 9 who is applying to multiple Catholic high schools within the Archdiocese of Detroit, you may wish to complete the “Common App,” which is available here. Please select Notre Dame as a school to receive your application.

Requirements for Admission to Middle Division (Grades 6 - 8)

  • Register for and take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (all applicants).
    • Notre Dame offers the test Nov. 18 and Dec. 2, 2017, as well as Feb. 3 and March 3, 2018. Students who take the test after the December 2 date will NOT be eligible to receive a merit-based scholarship.

  • Complete the online application and submit fee, then log back in to complete the next three steps through the Parent Portal:
    • Complete the supplemental application (student)
    • Request copies of records from current school
    • Request student evaluations from current teachers
  • Once the completed applications, fee, records and evaluations have been submitted, Notre Dame will schedule an interview with the applicant and a parent/guardian.

Requirements for Admission to Lower Division (Grades JK - 5)

  • Complete the online application and submit fee, then log back in to complete the next two steps through the Parent Portal:
    • Request copies of records from current school, as applicable
    • Request student evaluation from current teacher, as applicable
  • Once the completed application, fee, records and evaluation have been submitted, Notre Dame will schedule an interview with the applicant and a parent/guardian.

Admission to Notre Dame
Notre Dame begins reviewing applications in November for the following year. The initial deadline for applications is Jan. 19, 2018.  Decisions will be communicated on Jan. 26, 2018.  Applications will be accepted after Jan. 19, 2018. (After the initial deadline, Notre Dame offers admission as space permits.) Students who apply for admission to 9th grade after January 19 will be eligible for merit scholarships, provided they have taken the High School Placement Test on Nov. 18 or Dec. 2, 2017. Students who apply for admission to 6th grade after January 19 will not be eligible for merit scholarships.
